Solar Panel
I added a solar panel to maintain the battery charge, which works pretty well. The solar panel is mounted to the forward hatch. Its wiring to the main battery switch allows for different combinations of power - charging only, charging + battery, battery only, and off.

Wiring Harness
The wiring on the boat looked like spaghetti and could easily become tangled in the storage space. The ground leads went directly back to the battery lead. I added a brass terminal strip and ran all the ground leads back to it. The terminal strip is grounded to the battery.
Wires were replaced as required and formed into a harness, so they no longer can become tangled in the storage compartment.
