The original floor in the cabin was carpeted and after 20+ years was getting fairly disgusting  . . .  Vinyl plank flooring is fairly popular for homes and also becoming a thing for boats. 

I ripped up the carpet, prepped the floor, and laid down some vinyl plank.  The better portions of the old carpet came in handy for finishing up the perimeter areas.  The vinyl plank flooring really looked nice and was better than carpeting, which tended to hold water and dirt.
